Most successful medium to large businesses will have a yearly budget set aside for their corporate events, this budget has historically been used solely for the purposes of funding private or shared Christmas parties, product launches, large training events and occasionally team building events.
However at Good Look Events we have seen a pattern emerge over the last few years that would indicate that organisations are now adding to their list of yearly events and doing so in some rather unorthodox way. Read on to learn what our predictions are for the events industry for 2019 and beyond.
Corporate Summer Parties to become more popular
2018 saw a massive spike in medium to large organisations reaching out to the team at Good Look Events in order to enquire about summer party venues in London in addition to buying in our event management services for their summer party event.
With most companies choosing to book venues with outside space in London others were more adventurous asking for help with themed summer party planning. In fact our team was responsible for arranging an number of beach and BBQ themed parties and we expect the popularity of these types of events to increase throughout summer 2019 and beyond.
Wow Factor Private Christmas Parties
Last year’s buzzword seemed to be wow-factor, most in-house event planners were instructing us to arrange an office Christmas party that had the Wow factor. The idea is to invite business clients and company directors and put on an event that is truly unforgettable.
This type of event require lots of bespoke customisation and therefore a fairly large budget and although this was, in previous years, an event hosted strictly by the larger corporates, we predict that 2019 will see smaller to medium sized businesses invest in holding luxury private christmas party events in London.
Supporting Mental Health at Work
More recently mental health awareness has been highlighted by a number of high level celebrities and government figures not least British Royalty with the charity Heads Together spearheaded by The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Mental health at work is now more important than before and we expect to see a number of organisations championing wellness days and events for their staff.
We write more about corporate wellness events in another article and talk about how investing in supporting mental health at work is good for business and productivity
